General Purpose:

Assists the Administrator as directed in the business management of the facility, supervision of employees, implementation of facility policies and governmental regulations, and serving as liaison with the community.

Essential Functions of the Job:

    • Administrative Functions: Reports directly to the Administrator. Attends the facility’s department head meeting. Prepares payroll data for submission to Corporate Office, and ensures that paychecks are distributed upon their return from Corporate Office. Prepares all accounts receivable including ancillary charges for submission to the Corporate Office. Performs on-going audit of accounts receivable aging and follow-ups of all delinquent accounts, accepting payments and preparation of bank deposits. Ensures systems are in place in the Business office for a smooth operation. Prepares any reports required by the Administrator. Maintains an adequate supply of personnel forms used by all staff. Maintains resident business office files in complete order. Answers resident’s questions regarding statements coverage. Informs all eligible employees of their Health Insurance Eligibility date and facilitates their enrollment in a timely manner. Maintains and prepares the employee schedule. Maintain and protects residents and staff’s confidentiality pursuant to regulations and facility policies. Gives tours of the facility. Assists residents through the move-in process.

    • Resident’s Rights Functions: Ensures compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding resident’s rights.

    • Physical/Sensory Requirements(with or without the aid of a mechanical devices): Walking, reaching, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures; read and write English, communicate with residents and personnel; remain calm under stressful conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must complete the 40-hour Certificate of Administrator Program and the required number of continuing education units thereafter in accordance with the Department of Social Services regulations.

    • Must be able to read, write and follow verbal instructions and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

    • Must have a cleared fingerprint record obtained from the Department of Justice as required by Community Care Licensing.
